While hoteliers know all the hotel departmental structures and the hotel hierarchy, those who are new to the industry might not be very familiar with all the hotel’s departments, specific roles, and their job descriptions. Especially when it comes to the Sales and Marketing Department. In our pervious posts we have covered the sales and marketing roles in the hotel industry, today we will talk more about their difference.

The hotel industry is huge and many different jobs are important within the industry. Two of these jobs as mentioned above, are sales and marketing. Though they may sound similar, they are not the same. Understanding the difference between sales and marketing in the hotel industry is important, as both play important roles in making a hotel successful.
